Waar vertel ik over?
Over de mens.
Soms heel dicht bij mezelf en over leven en dood, het onvermogen en de machteloosheid die daarbij horen.
Soms over gebeurtenissen die op dat moment hier of in de wereld plaatsvinden.
Zoals bijvoorbeeld de oorlog in Irak waarbij heel duidelijk de macht en onmacht van mensen aan de orde komt. Het onvermogen van de mens om in vrede te leven, waarbij het altijd neerkomt op macht en onmacht in de geschiedenis.
Deze processen, - mijn gedachtespinsels, mijn zoektocht naar het evenwicht, naar het hoe en waarom - wil ik vertellen, in beeld vangen.
Soms een reactie op een muziekstuk of een boek.
In beelden vertellen geeft mij meer ruimte dan in woorden en naar ik hoop geldt dat ook voor de toeschouwer.
Mijn beeldtaal ontstaat uit alles wat inmiddels opgeslagen ligt in mijn hoofd en de nieuwe informatie die er dagelijks nog bij komt.

What is my story about?
About mankind
Sometimes close to myself and about life and death and the powerlessness and inability that come with it.
Sometimes about events that are happening at this moment, here or elsewhere in the world.
Like for instance the war in Iraq, that shows clearly the power and powerlessness of people. The inability of mankind to live in peace, where it always boils down to power and powerlessness in history.
These processes, my thoughts, my search for balance and the how and why, that is what I want to tell, that is what I want to capture in my art.
Sometimes an reaction an answer on a piece of music or a book.
To tell these stories by means of my art is easier for me than with words and I hope the spectator can understand that.
My art-language is created by everything that is in my head and by new information that reaches me every day.
